Q1. Is your agarwood (oud) oil 100% pure?
Yes, all our agarwood oil is 100% pure, undiluted, and free from synthetic additives or carrier oils. Our oud oil is extracted through traditional hydro/steam distillation methods from genuine agarwood (Aquilaria) trees. We do not mix our oils with DPG, alcohol, or synthetic fragrance compounds.

Q2. How can I check if the oud oil / attar I received is genuine?
Pure agarwood oil typically thickens or partially solidifies when kept in cold temperatures (below 15–18°C) and returns to liquid form at room temperature — this is a natural sign of purity. Pure attars also pass the freezing test and have a long-lasting, complex aroma rather than a flat, one-dimensional synthetic smell.

Q3. What is the difference between Agarwood Oil and Agarwood Attar?
Agarwood oil is the pure distilled oil extracted directly from agarwood wood chips. Attar generally refers to the traditional method where agarwood (or other botanicals) is hydro-distilled into a base like sandalwood oil. Both are natural, but their extraction process and traditional use differ slightly.

Q4. Why does the color or consistency of my oil vary slightly from the picture?
Our oils are 100% natural products, and slight variations in color, thickness, and aroma intensity are normal from batch to batch depending on the source wood/flowers, harvest season, and distillation batch. This is actually a sign of authenticity — synthetic products look identical every time.

Q5. Where do you source your agarwood and sandalwood from?
Our agarwood oils are sourced from regions like Assam (Boya oil) and other traditional agarwood-growing areas, and our attars/absolutes follow traditional extraction methods rooted in the Kannauj perfumery tradition.

Q7. How long will it take to receive my order?

A small amount (1–2 drops) can be applied to pulse points (wrists, neck) for personal fragrance, or used in an oil burner/diffuser for ambient fragrance. Always dilute if applying directly on sensitive skin.

Q11. How should I store my oils to keep them fresh?
Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the bottle tightly capped. Pure agarwood oil and attars can last for years, and many actually improve with age, similar to fine wine or whisky.

Q12. Can I use agarwood oil directly on my skin?
Yes, agarwood oil is traditionally applied on skin/pulse points. However, we recommend a patch test first, as with any natural essential oil, to check for individual sensitivity.
